The Language Arts and Media Program hosted its first Graduate Symposium on Innovative Pedagogy, a day of workshops and practical hands-on training designed by graduate students, for graduate students.

- 8-9 a.m.: Breakfast
- 9-10:15 a.m.: Podcasts & other non-traditional assignments: teaching beyond the research paper
- 10:30-11:45 a.m.: Meaningful use of media: a demo of games, objects & virtual spaces as teaching tools
- Lunch
- 1-2:15 p.m.: Teaching with/through/to diversity: decolonializing the syllabus
- Coffee Break
- 2:30-4 p.m.: The innovative teaching statement workshop: hands-on feedback from faculty
