I am exploring enhancements to student dialogue in my new course The Dialogue Laboratory: Experiments in Group Communication: understanding students, redesigning classroom dynamics, empowerment, preparing for worst case events, adapting along the way.
Playful Pedagogy Fellowship Project
Play is my model of knowledge production and social integration. I'm seeking improv structures that:
- are usable throughout “natural” dialogue after learning them as isolated, bounded games
- provide inclusion practices for 15 simultaneous interlocutors
- generate new modes of meaning, bringing students further into themselves and into their actions.
I'm seeking radical involvement, reducing the banking model to teach laboratory learning and the role of participant-researcher.
Improv play melds worlds, helping be more ourselves more together, being smarter via collective mind.
