John Paul Stadler

John Paul Stadler holds a PhD in Literature from Duke University, where he serves as the program coordinator for LAMP as well as the associate of research for the Thompson Writing Program. His research interests include queer cinema and theory, transgender studies, film studies, porn studies, sexuality studies, post-1945 American Literature, graphic novels, conceptual art, creative writing, and digital cultures. His critical writing has appeared in The Journal of Cinema and Media Studies (2018), Polygraph (2016,2017), Reviews in Cultural Theory (2016), Art and Documentation (2014), Jump Cut (2013), and is forthcoming from Feminist Media Histories (2019). His first fiction chapbook Prehistoric was published by The Cupboard Pamphlet in 2016.
