Laura Florand’s pedagogical interests focus on French language and culture, with a particular focus on writing, cinema and culture, and gastronomy, and with secondary interests in French Polynesia. In addition to working on the pedagogy of writing and culture, she is herself an international bestselling writer of memoir and popular romance, often set in France. Her books have appeared in ten languages and received multiple awards, including being named to NPR’s list of the Top 100 Romances of the past two centuries and Library Journal’s and RT Book Reviews’ Best Books of the Year.
